Our private tour starts with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains and visits Ifrane village. There, you’ll get the chance to explore the famous cedar forest, home to Berber apes. Then continue to Midelt via the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and Ziz Gorge (where you can enjoy photos and local mint tea). He then heads to Merzouga, where he concludes the day with dinner and an overnight stay in a local riad.
Today we will explore the desert region around the Chebbi Dunes. You can see the wonderful contrast between the nomadic lifestyle and the desert. Visit the Black Village of Camria. A place to indulge in Gnawa music. For lunch, enjoy traditional Berber pizza in the ancient capital of Rissani. In the late afternoon, enjoy a camel ride to watch the sun set over the dunes and spend the night in a desert camp. Enjoy a traditional tagine dinner, sip a delicious local mint he tea, listen to traditional Berber music around a campfire and watch the stars and the rising moon in the stunning Sahara Desert.
Wake up and head to your local hotel. You can refresh yourself and enjoy a complimentary breakfast before heading to Ouarzazate. Along the way, visit Berber villages with Todra and the Dades Valley. In the Dades Gorge, stop at a local hotel to spend the night and enjoy a complimentary dinner.
After breakfast, continue the tour to Ouarzazate. Pass a trail of 1,000 kasbahs (fortresses) and stop at Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Rose Festival. Overnight at a local hotel.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ait Benhaddou’s Ksar is famous for being used as a filming location for Hollywood movies such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and the famous HBO series Game of Thrones. Afterwards, cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to Marrakech and stay overnight at a local hotel.
The day will be spent in Marrakech. Explore the city’s main attractions, including the famous Jamma El Fna Square, Koutoubia Mosque, the souks, the Royal Palace, and several museums. You will also explore the modern part of the city called Gueliz, such as the Menara Gardens and Major, before ending the tour at your hotel/airport.
